Stekelenburg Join To Fulham

Fulham managed to get a goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg from AS Roma. The Dutch goalkeeper was contracted for four years until 2017.


"I'm very happy to join Fulham and everything has been sorted out at the beginning of the summer so I could really focus on preparing to play in the Premier League next season. Glad to be back again to join with Martin Jol (Fulham)," said Stekelenburg in Fulham's official website.

Stekelenburg had ever worked with Jol at Ajax coach gush in the 2009-10 season. "Stekelenburg is a quality keeper who I have known since I was working with him at Ajax. I'm sure he'll work well here," said Jol.

Ajax can not be separated from Stekelenburg career. The 30-year-old player is guided Ajax and started his professional career there. He recorded 280 appearances over 11 seasons to defend Ajax.

In that period, Stekelenburg managed to savor two league titles, three Dutch Cups, and four Dutch Super Cup title. Stekelenburg then moved to AS Roma in 2011.
